President’s Message:

As February has come to an end we can now look forward to some of the warmer March days. Hopefully we will be graced with an early spring.

Our March meeting will have our Educational program consisting of planning your new dahlia garden and our propagating demonstration will be interesting to our newer members and also us Old Timer’s. There is something to be learned by all. We will be starting at 1:00 PM with our business meeting to follow. Please try to attend.

We will also be discussing our upcoming Root Sale at the Pond House at Elizabeth Park on Sunday, April 27, 2014. We will be purchasing several varieties of tubers from commercial growers as to not sell out before the public arrives. Please look through your stock and donate your extra to the auction.

Also, a big thanks to Gary Adams of Pleasant Valley Glads & Dahlias (a CDS member and huge donator) for attending our last meeting and giving us a wealth of information as well as other reputable sources to place our orders.

Hope to see a nice turnout at this upcoming meeting. It will be very informative for all. Also have a great cup of coffee, cider and a doughnut and chatting with some old friends.

Possible Meeting Cancellation due to weather:

To determine if there will be a cancellation of the meeting, call either Marge or Donna. We will decide by 11:00 am on that day if we will cancel or not.

2015 Meeting Dates:

(All Meetings are at the Thomaston Bank unless otherwise noted). The programs for new members are open to any members who are interested.
