President’s Message:
Happy Thanksgiving, CDS members!
The end of 2014 will soon be upon us. It has proven to be a good growing year. Not only did we have beautiful flowers with rich color, but also the fall roots were of good quality. Please try to join us for our annual Christmas Party. CDS pays a portion of the cost of a great meal that the restaurant offers us with four different entrée choices. Please contact Marge by November 29th to make your reservations with your dinner selection. We hope you find some time to attend the party to have some holiday fun.
The 2015 educational programs will be exciting for new members and candidate judges and we welcome the participation of our Accredited Judges and members to contribute their knowledge to these programs.

Dinner Choices for the Christmas Party:
Chicken Marsala $26
Stuffed Filet of Sole $28
Veal Parmigiana $30
Grilled New York Sirloin $33
These prices include tax and tip and CDS will pay for a portion of everyone’s dinner.
Reservations with dinner choices need to be made by November 29th to Marge by either phone or email.
In Memoriam, Larry Carlson (1944 – 2014)
Larry passed away on November 9th after a long illness. He was a member of the CDS and ADS since 2000 and also an Accredited Judge. He was very proud of the two seedlings that he introduced, both in 2005: Jubliee Buttercup, Miniature Ball, Yellow and Jubilee Ruby, Miniature, Formal Decorative, Red. He had many friends in dahlias and was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer assistance to any of our new members. We extend our sympathy to his family and friends and especially to his good dahlia friend, Gary Adams.
